INTO THE WILD

I hate this place from times gone by,
there’s nothing brings me cheer.
The creatures that abide within
can spread almighty fear.

'Tis bravery that leads the way
experience guides the care.
To venture further is to go
where lesser mortals dare.

I cannot let my loved one go
and yet remain away.
For two is safer than the one
if risked to join the fray.

Familiar sounds they echo forth
from many a hidden way.
The threat is always present,
No matter what the day.

One more deep breath and in we go
with bravely girded loins.
School holidays in a supermarket,
are the nearest point to hell.

I hate this place from times gone by
there’s nothing brings me cheer.

[THE END]
